SCAM / SPAM This was an automated message stating that I had an outstanding tax case against me and I should press 1 now to be put through to an advisor. If I didn't press 1, then the case would be forwarded to the authorities and I would be arrested shortly. I did nothing and the call just died, and so far have not been arrested. This is a very dangerous scam that is threatening and could scare some vulnerable people, into doing something.

This number called me yesterday, and several times today. I picked up the most recent call and a girl laughed down the phone and hung up. No attempt to sell me anything or talk about pensions, as other comments have said, just straightforward nuisance call. Have now blocked them.

Well, after a couple of days of peace and quiet from this number.. they ve started again, with a VENGEANCE! I have reported them to EVERYONE they can be reported too, and now, im on plan B! FYI if you re on "talktalk" you can set up "last caller barring" which allows you to block up to 10 numbers from ringing you :) and its FREE!! im in the process of setting this up now, and hopefully it will stop all this nonsense! Clearly reading from a set script, asking about my home improvements - when firmly pushed, said the 'company' was "Homes Advice". Call appears to be from North of Manchester, nowhere near me. Put phone down when I pressed for an address. Some sort of scam?
The call is from Greenpeace, looking for volunteers and/or activists. They won t leave a message due to time constraints but a simple 1471 check will confirm.
