Apparently 01234 339 numbers are allocated to BT, who in turn have sublet them to rogue operators like this. Anyroad: add this no. to your blocklist. You can t live without a phone with nuisance call protection nowadays.

A Asian guy called saying I have been awarded a 30% discount for being a loyal customer O2 customer. i Left O2 over a couple of years ago, so I checked the number out online while he was talking and the number was listed as a scam call, so knew it was a scam. He said he was going to pass me to customer service. I then spoke to the next Asian guy who said he would send me a message and to except it (phone malware). It s an automatic reminder of clinic appointments, 7 days before they re due. I get similar thing from my dentist. You can reply with STOP to opt out but I don t think it s a bad idea - my appointments are months apart.
