This company are making unsolicited calls. I have received one this morning and when I challenged the caller the call was terminated from their end. The number I was called on is listed with the telephone preferrence service.

TAX Claim to be a Tax office that they have evidence against me. Police have warrant for my arrest.
Received two calls from this number just after 4am. No one spoke, call ended after a few seconds with a click. Turned my mobile off. There had been a third attempt. I was astonished to find out where this call came from. To my knowledge, there is no one there that I know.

Definitely a call from a scammer. These calls use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION to a caller. NEVER RETURN A CALL ...

I get several calls a week from this company which I ignore. As it seems they have first names they must be getting this information from phone companies selling lists on. Only my friends, family and phone company know my number AND name.
SCAM Text Message supposedly from HSBC (who are not my bank) saying there was a new payee request set up from an unrecognised device with a link to Authorise or Cancel the request. Very quickly blocked and deleted, but as others have said, don't click the link, clearly a scam.

Like all the other comments, this was a recorded message claiming to be from Inland Revenue (I should have smelled a rat immediately at that point - it s HMRC now...) and that I was being sued. Brain not in gear, and in panic, dialled 1, but silence at the other end, then call terminated. I am now so angry. Said was local energy advisor in my postcode. Funny Bournemouth area code not even my county. My guess is that this is a fake called id that comes up. Keeps calling and keep asking invasive questions, but will never give a straight answer to any questions when asked; once said he was based in reading. Last two times he call just hung up after his first 4 word, can even recognise the voice now. Just hang up pain in backside.
