I put down the phone, went to my local bank and asked them to check. No money had been taken or removed or sent. Dangerous for someone who gets involved speaking to these scum.

0013125082271 called with prerecorded general message that my Amazon Prime Account has been renewed for £79, but if I wanted to cancel it to press #1 or to ask any questions to press #2 so I could speak with the scammer. This is a regular call I receive, but first time from this number. I don't have an Amazon Prime Account and that is why they use this method as they hope I will press #1 or, a new twist, #2. Obviously, Amazon would not make such a call.
