Telemarketing I have just had a call fro 07711 421182 with a far-eastern sounding chap with bad english trying to tell me against a background of lots of other people doing the same thing, that he wanted to "help me with [my] investments". I couldn't make out his explanation of how he got my number but anyone working for a firm that doesn't use landlines is not for me. It wasn't selling he insisted. Of course not. The number is from SCAMMERS. When you pick up the phone when they call, you get immediately the waiting music. This is typical scam behavior. If you call back, you probably get into an expensive hotline.
