Suspected spam or scam number as on trying to call back I was told it was not in service.

The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. I have received a call from this number a recorded message claiming to be the HMRC threatening to take action against me. There was an option to stay on the line and speak to an operator. Obviously I didn't. When tried to call back, receiver ended the call back.

SCAM Two calls in two days from this number, each time claiming to be someone different, neither convincing, both with red flags.

Indian male called me regarding computer equipment he said I had pre ordered to the tune of over £1000. From Amazon I never made any ordered. Highly dangerous scam.

Pre-recorded message claiming to be from Visa and concerning a suspicious Visa gambling transaction in the US?!?! Who makes up this s**t? Press 1 to be put through to the fraud office, I don't think so... Clearly fraudulent...
