Call center SPAM Said his name was Alex, however he had a very strong Indian accent. He said that he was phoning from British Gas!? It was about boiler cover, house hold cover for both gas and electric. Asked a couple of questions. He said that he was calling from London, when I asked him what the weather was like in India, and it would be set up today! Had a text saying that a parcel had been stopped and we had to log onto a certain web site and pay import duty.
They rang me regarding a survey I had completed, as I fill in loads of surveys I believed this to be true. Received an urgent sounding recorded message, claiming to be British Gas and asking us to call 01216290765. Spoke to BG, and they have confirmed that THIS IS A SCAM, as they would never contact customers in such a manner.

This is a Debt collection company as has been said above, they call 3-4 times and then drop off. They ring for short bursts and then that s it.
These people are scammers who target elderly vulnerable people. They cold called my mother who has dementia, despite her being registered with the TPS. They talked her into completely unnecessary cover for a washing machine for £225 pounds. This seems to be their MO as I have now seen it on numerous forums about them. This is now in the hands of her banks fraud team.
This call is from a code local to me but is obviously a cold call (I am signed up to TPS) they usually hang up when I answer so obviously calling multiple numbers at same time. ...
