This number is British Gas - probably payment collections department. When you call it back, it goes to a main menu with a series of options to hear balance / pay bill.
Rang my house saying they calling from frontline servers. The Indian sounding caller told me my name, phone number & address and asked me to confirm if they re correct. I asked who am I confirming it with and why do they need to know and he said I just need a yes or no he s from frontline savers and they are just doing a telephone verification. I said no and hungup

Sarcastic and rude male just kept repeating he wanted to give me a quote for car warrenty on my car (mentioned make and model along with car reg!) Wouldn t remove my number when asked. I insisted to be put through to a human being who doesn t have attitude. When I was I told them unless they remove my number, I shall deafen their telecallers with a whistle next time they call, and I hope they suffer for it. The called did not know where I was from so admitted they are in Bangalore before I pointed out they were using a virtual London number. The only staff was Arslan Majeed who was both secretary and Director. Born July 1983.

Didn’t take the call on my landline but they left a pre recorded message informing me that my card had been used in a foreign transaction twenty minutes before and that I should press 1 to stop it. I rang the number from my mobile a couple of times and each time got the busy tone. I reckon it’s a poor attempt at a scam.

I received a call from Motorpal today Telephone number 029 2036 4211 , they wanted me to pay £1 for vouchers to be sent then alarm bells rang so I did some checking and found this site. I have asked them to call back tomorrow as I said I did not have my card to hand lol. I will be giving the details of the caller to the fraud squad tomorrow and contacting my local MP after the general election . They verified my details, knew my name and every handset/plan I already had, and after a brief chat, concluded that I didnt need anything. I get these kind of calls 1-2 a year. They are a telesales company likely working with EE. There is a lot of negative comments, but this is the way the capitalist world you live in works. Accept you will get these calls, people trying to sell your something.
