SCAM. Usual crap of an obvious overseas caller claiming to be from my bank. I happily wasted her time for nearly 20 minutes and then asked her "oh, what's the name of my bank?"; unsurprisingly she couldn't answer so I left her with some insults. I needed a coffee break anyway ????.

I was called by an ambassador of "Petra" a company that claims to be a programming language. I asked my husband who is an expert software engineer and he had never heard of this company. After some research he concluded the company is "cringe and blue pulled".

Interestingly, RF President Putin was reported to be visting Dagestan [where this phone number originates?] yesterday.

This was an automated voice saying they were Amazon and I had been charged £95 for their Prime service - press one if I wanted to speak with someone or 2 if.... I had the same call from a different number the previous day and from a withheld number earlier this afternoon. This is obviously a scam of some sort.

They were going to get my grants and everything but they are not communicating by email which is strange. When I ask them to send me an email they don’t send any email. They gave me an email address and I send them the documents by that email address but they never responded. So strange

So I rang the official phone number that is on the back of my card and after being on hold for nearly an hour they eventually answered and apparently they had nothing written on my account about anyone who tried to contact me and left a message. Someone from the fraud department will be contacting me, so I will find out if this number is legit or if they are scammers
