This phone number called me about a loan I apparently was applying for and said they would send me an email, they asked for my account number and sort code, I still haven't received the email and I am not happy that these people have got my details, thank God it isn't my main account.

A number calling me quite frequently. I´m located in Norway and see no resin someone in the UK need to call me. I do think it's a scam.
SCAM!! Called saying someone was trying to buy an iPhone on my account. They sent me an Amazon authentication code and wanted me to tell them what it was! I think this is so they could gain access to my account. Very scary they could do this. I have now changed my Amazon login details!

Missed a call to my mobile from this unknown local Nottingham number. Suspicious as I haven't given my number to any but a handful of friends, and my doctor/dentist/pharmacy. No message left. Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it. This company reported to be Heating Services, claims to act on behalf of British Gas Homecare and deals with all their support services. They rang to say they are reducing the cost of my homecare cover and including plumbing and electricity repairs. All I need to do is amend my Direct Debit. This is a company scamming customers as they had all me details.

Difficult to hold a sensible conversation, transpired person wanted to make a case for selling wall and roof insulation. Not needed but difficult to close a conversation with caller who isn't listening!
I think this is a scam number. Recorded American accent saying HMRC and that a fine would be implemented and to press 1 to speak to someone. Obviously I didn’t, line then went dead !!

Pretending to be from Virgin Media Cyber security department, informing me that there is someone in California using my IP address for illegal purposes, but he would help me sort it out. Refused to tell me the name on the account or the account number because it was a recorded call, having told me it was a secure line and that he would "prove" to me that he was from Virgin if I gave him the information he asked for.

An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.
