This caller was pretending to be from Open Reach to tell me that my internet speed was down.

A large number of people have been called by the criminals using this fictitious number according to other sites. Their aim is to gain the confidence of people and persuade them to allow access to their computers so they can infect them. Yesterday I was out all day and when I returned I found no less than five calls from a slightly different but equally fictitious number, 01614379874, but still equally recognisable as fake from anyone who has had so many of these calls as I have. Generally when there s a long pause before they answer, it s safe to say it s a call centre that I m going to have zero interest in talking to. Whistle loudly down the phone. They don t tend to call back again. ;)

19 Oct 2021 - Told me my ip had been compromised and Internet will be cut off. I connected for a laugh and some Indian guy answered. Told him to shove a Pineapple up his backside sideways and then set fire to himself. Think he got the message as he hung up on meReply

Claimed to be from the Accident recording company and I could clain £4000 on an accident last year which I never had! I mentioned GDPR but he would not listen and said comsumers...

received call from man with indian accent, he said he is calling from national accident helpline - i told him to remove my details from his database and never call back again. if only that was true. i have also reported this on the national accident helpline website and apparently it isn t them so i don t know what else to do.

The usual PPI story. Have had countless calls over recent months. Even pressing 5 for next stage elicits a recorded message. Eventually line went dead.

The call is not from Manchester; the scammers spoof the number.

Been having these people call non stop twice a day! I have blocked over 15 numbers which they use since they bombard me with texts and voicemails asking for a Victoria - The funny things is that I m male and I don t know a Victoria! I have told these people to stop calling me and that they have the wrong number. Don t worry a lawsuit will soon be in place for harassment since I have recordings of all communications.
