Been ringing several times of late, recognise it as a scam call and don t bother answering.

So annoyed - calling to say I have been involved in a car accident

Caller claimed I had been involved in a car accident, I know I have not. I asked him who he was repeatedly, he would not say and finally put the phone down.

Called me saying they were The National Pension Service and the government is giving everyone a free pension review to make sure they are not being overcharged for pensions. Implied she was calling from the government, and started to ask for details. When i asked if she was calling from a government department she hung up and number is permanently engaged when I tried to call and complain. Block.

These people repeatedly call phishing for information stating that they are calling about a car accident. Maybe some poor souls they call talk about an accident they may/ may not have had and pass on personal details. It appears to be a scam and the only way to avoid them calling is to block their number. They called my number >10 times over past 6 months and have never taken it off their system. FYI I was never in a car accident.

Had a liverpudlian girl called Lucy call me just from 01704222222, said she was calling from Alderley Assist, got the usual call centre spiel, had my name on file which I confirmed. Very suspicious. Claim to be a service stopping nuisance calls. Ask to confirm all sorts of information, staring with public stuff (address, telephone) progressing to private stuff like expiry date of credit card!
