SCAM - Someone will call you with a fake name, pretending that you have been involved in a car accident recently. They will then tell you that they are the other party insurance company but they can also help you retrieve your fund, you need to give them your personal information for them to refund you and for a generous fee of £500, they will cover the damages which are estimated at £15,000. how generous of them, is it not? Anyways, just block the number guys.

This person identifies himself as Thomas from Adobe and had has been placing calls over and over to us to the point of harassment. He has been told that we will not put his call through to the person he wishes to speak to as they dont want his call. He tries to intimidate his way through and then sits mimicking me down the phone line. He leaves the call connected so nobody else can call our number. They called yesterday (missed) and today. Sombeody who wanted to "help me get a better deal" on my energy. I am not even a homeowner. I asked them how they got my number. Apparently I "must have filled in an online survey" and they bought my details from them. Dubious, seeing as I don't give out my phone number for good reason, don't do online surveys and always make sure to check/uncheck boxes as appropriate.
I believe this to be a telephone/banking scam. They purported to be my bank but they said they wanted me to open another account and transfer money from my account into this other account - at that point I stopped the call and called the number on the back of my debit card and reported the call to my bank fraud department.

This number shows as International and 01274792012... Said it was a quick survey, I asked where they got my details from and they said public source. They knew my name, address, postcode and phone number. Fairly obvious that they are identifying opportunities for onward selling. I think the only reason I have a home phone these days is for junk/spam calls. Another one for the block list.
