Caller asked me also to confirm if I was receiving a high volume of telemarketing calls, and that he could help. Fealing un easy I said call me back in 5 mins after I could check him out. Found this thread immediately blocked the number on my Pro Call Blocker box i found on ebay for ?25.

Seems like a new scam number just called me offering me a discount on my existing T-Mobile contract and when I said I knew they were talking rubbish and must be a scam as I don't have T-Mobile. Potential scam. There was a recorded message supposedely from my internet service provider (although it didn't say which ISP they were calling on behalf), saying that our internet service would be disconnected in 4 hours due to 'Router Malfunction'. Our router is working fine. I suspect this is a 'Technical Support Scam', where we would be expected to pay for fixing something that isn't broke.
