Claimed to be from the telephone preference marketing service. Had lots of my details, tried to tell me that his company worked for BT. I got fed up. Told him I wasn t prepared to give him any details about card details etc and I could do what he was trying to do on my phone - which is exactly what I was going to do with his number. This number keeps ringing my elderly father who has to struggle to make it to the phone every time. They should try once and if they dont get a return call then leave it there. That is what an answering machine is meant for. They should use it.
