When you answer your phone and if it s a number you don t recognise, DON T SPEAK JUST LISTEN! Wait for the caller to speak first and then decide whether to simply put the phone down. If it s a recorded message, it ll nearly always be a scam or a computer dialling a batch of numbers in sequence and trying to assertain if the number they have just dialled is a voice line. i.e. a private phone number. Said they were "following up on some financial enquiries I had made, and they deal with the next stage of the process." Utter bullshit, as I ve not made any "financial enquiries"!

Some pension scam "You are owed ?1,000 due to pension bla bla bla" utter crap -- just trying to con money out of people. If it was genuine they would have my address and have sent me a letter. Another number in my call blocker ---- best gadget I ever bought --- there is nothing like the satisfaction I get in putting people numbers in this - they only ring once and never again!

Money scam. They pose as a photography company (Imagethirst), offering free photo shoots, asking for a deposit first(usually ?40-?50). They have been known to tell you that you are a prize winner for other things also, and pose as other companies.

Normal service number. Do not worry. They are reputable.

lots of missed calls on my mobile from this number, if you try calling it back you get a message saying this number is not in service.

I ve had this number call me several times. Sometimes they have hung up before I can answer, sometimes it is late at night!!!!! If you are in a Union which is related to the Labour party, i.e Unite and it is Corbyn and his mates, I guess this is where you money is going!! I never have voted for you, and never will!

23 Nov 2021 - Silence at first, then a click and background call centre noise. An Asian person then said "Hello Maam, it's "Jacks from Carphone Warehouse. How are you today?" I said I wasn't interested and put the phone down, as I haven't had any dealings with Carphone Warehouse. I also suspect this isn't really Carphone Warehouse!Reply
