Scam text purporting to be from British Gas saying they have made an appointment for me. I did not respond but then had several texts on the day they said the appt had been made saying they were on their way but might be late! No-one turned up I'm pleased to say. I didn't click any links so don't know what the scam is about - probably an information phishing expeditiion - but it is very clever and needs to be exposed.

No message hung up before I could answer ntried ringing it back but the number was not recognised !
They wanted to see if I qualified and started to ask questions which I declined to answer. I don't know if they were above board or not.

Called again this morning 8am but this I answered they claimed to be a tele blocking agency and that our blocking service had expired and we needed to renew it. I told them I would consult my husband when he got home and they out the phone down. Enough said..... SCAM!
