Claimed to be from Postcode lottery saying I’d won a discount card for supermarkets and that I’d also won a free flight to anywhere in the world. Passed call to her senior who wanted to “activate” the discount credit card and said needed to deposit £1.00 into my account to activate the account. Told her I knew she was scamming me for my bank details and hung up!

DO NOT ANSWER - Scam call from an Asian call centre, openly admitting to charging a premium rate for connecting your call. They begin the conversation stating they are a government scheme aimed at helping pay back loans etc. I received racial abuse from the caller while trying to get information out of him. SCAM I was called from a lady called Lisa. She sounded Indian. Anyway I am lucky because I have been allocated a free discount card. Free, up to 40% off shopping, Tesco etc. Also they will send me free flight tickets for me and my family, anywhere in Europe. Didn't want my bank account no. just my sort code and account number. So they could credit me £1. I put the phone down. I wonder if I will get my free discount card in the post as promised.
