Introduced himself as John Shepherd and working for a children's charity, the name of which I did not catch. He checked with me that he had run the right number by checking my company name. Spoke really slowly so I new this was going to be a long call probably looking for money so said I was busy (which I was). Have seen him reported as a scammer on other number check sites.
Called and no sound at the other end. I said Hello and they hung up.
got called by this number on my mobile. No one ever calls on my mobile, except this number. I did make an insurance claim 2 years ago after someone dented a rental car I took out in Aus and didn't leave any contact details. Insurance company & Aus rental car company had my mobile number and these calls started 3 months after the prang, so I suspect my details were sold - probably by the insurance company to recoup their losses (I understand they do that sort of thing).
