SCAM / SPAM - for "Data Protection", couldn't tell any details about what happened, only that I was involved in a car accident in the past 24 hours, no car details or where it happened, or even identifying myself as being the correct person. Ended up raising his voice at me, to which I hung up

I hung up. 4th call onwards.. they claim there's been a complaint etc. Told them to remove my number. Stop them to stop calling me. A 'foreigner' from this number (020 7905 2112) called my elderly parents today saying their nuisance call protection would expire tomorrow. Mum rang me in a panic so I logged on to their BT account and they are still protected from nuisance calls. These unnecessary spam callers need to be stopped. It is upsetting for the elderly and vulnerable.

I believe that the woman asking the question, 'I was informed that you have been involved in a car accident' is a recorded voice which responds to your answers. When I said that she was misinformed another phrase asking for 'the date of the accident', came back and so on until the line went dead. I'm convinced this is a robot! It's irritating at best, but would be upsetting for anyone who had a family member or friend involved in a bad accident.

Well this is some landline from Manchester area, I couldn't find any info for this specific number, but there are two facts : people do search for this number which can be seen from different similar pages, and there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. I recommend to block the whole 01618148xxx range, this area is known for "great" telemarketing... People pls did someone answer this number, can you confirm?
