Said she was calling from BT open reach about my internet being hacked. Said she would not ask for any personal or bank details. Asked if I had given my internet password to anyone outside my house. I kept asking her for her details but she then asked me if I had a mobile phone. I knew she was scamming and asked her to shut up for one moment and she then said and you shut up two and then she hung up. This would have been dangerous if I had let her download any app or software to my phone

This is an actual real firm's number. But the number has been taken over by some scammer who is contacting random people. I did not answer the phone in time, so rang back and the company said they had several people ringing back who had been approached by scammers. Awful for them to be used like this.

SCAMMERS, asked if they are speaking to (my full name), I said yes and they said they have received a notification to investigate my account. I asked what the reason was for that and they said "well you have outstanding debt that you pay each month, is that right?" I said no, I don't have any debt and they hang up. I've never had a loan, not even an overdraft. So yeah, not a legit number/business.

Indian scammer called saying there have been charges of over £1500 on a debit card that I do not have, waisted 50 mins of my time playing along, when I told him I have over £235,000 in a saving account plus another £53,000 in other accounts he gave me this number to call, I said I will call them in a hour as I have a Doctors appointment.

I had a call from this number which I did not recognise. Although I tried to answer, the call was cut off. Do not know if spam or from a service provider such as Virgin. No message was left by them.
Scam from asian sounding male suposedly working for Virgin Media and claiming that my router was faulty. After getting me to jump through some hoops, told me that I would be getting a new router and £204.56 in compensation. This is a scam number with an automated voice concerning an order from Amazon. I do not have an Amazon account. This call is likely from a scamming call centre in India. Not the first time I've been targeted, each time from a different number. I put the phone down. Recommended: programmes by Rav Wilding on BBC iPlayer and repeated on BBC1. His team have viewed such scams. The scammers get into your phone.
