Call center claiming to be Carphone Warehouse trying to "sell an amazing deal for our valued customers". Needless to say, told where to go!
SCAM / SPAM FAKE HMRC CALL - do not answer or follow instructions they are after your money. I know this as I work for HMRC and received this call.

calls & rings off with no message - disturbes me when I am ill and not up to searching for the phone. it should be made unlawful to ring and leave no message, so one is left guessing, and I refuse to give them the satisfaction of ringing back, although it leaves me anxious in case missed something urgent!

Automated call - voice message to say the number has been compromised and could be used as a scam call and please do not respond or have anything more to do with this number .
A mouthy Asian lady would not take yes for an answer and became increasingly agitated. I hung up as she was only on transmit.

Well, they phoned earlier and a recorded message informed me, that it was my banks security department, which it obviously wasn't, the number trace showed a call the Russian Federation, RED FLAG. She said, Somebody has accesed your account and made a £600 purchase fron Amazon and a £2,000 transfer to an international account, RED FLAG I politely told her to stop trying t scam people and she immediately hang up, basically, our phone providers should block these calls, as we are paying to receive them!

They asked me to verify my details and then rattled off some speech about how i may be contacted by someone in the future. I said no to this and she just repeated the statement. Claims to be calling from Carphone Warehouse offering a deal on mobile phone. Didn't give them time to explain, asked them to remove my number and never call me back and blocked them. Given my employer has just highlighted to us that there is a scam doing the rounds from companies claiming to be from mobile phone companies, and I have never had any dealings with Carphone Warehouse - its likely this is a scam
