at this point a misdial from a local number, in which case no harm done I don't use my landline except for internet connections and never answer it if it rings. If this number rings again I will block the number. If it was someone I knew they would have my mobile number and know to use it.

When they ring , they always get me out of bed, when i look at the number on the phone screen its very close to my area number so i answer , then there's a delay while it clicks and connects to a different part of the world and then a foreign sounding lady always mis- says my name with a long eee at the beginning and there is an office noise back ground . I did not pick up and no voicemail left - the caller ID on my smartphone said it was Three but Three are my provider and would leave voicemail. Internet search says the call originates in Russia? I am surprised that Three use a Russian call centre?

I received an SMS that appears to have been sent by HSBC. This shows an one-time password for a transaction of around £983 and asks me to urgently call this number (03309124638) if I do not recognise this transaction. BEWARE THIS IS A SCAM! I have called HSBC (on their true number and not the fake number mentioned above) and they have confirmed what was obvious to me: THIS IS A SCAM. Your account is safe and has not been compromised. IGNORE THE TEXT MESSAGE and do NOT call that number. That's all!

I have had this number blocked since last year because it kept ringing and there was nothing there . It just came up again as a blocked call today.. and yesterday. It was not ghe number I had as a contact for Everest or Everest 2020.

Fraud Scam. Vodafone support website has a page on which to verify that a number is calling from Vodafone. This is not a Vodafone number. Here's the information I could get from them before they hung up. The caller claimed to be from Vodafone promotional dept offering a new phone upgrade and 2 year contract. Caller was inconsistent in what they said. Once saying a verification email would arrive in 30 minutes then saying 1 hour. They switched for no reason between talking about iphone and Samsung phones.

SCAM - told me someone had purchased an IPHONE 7 on my Amazon account, it was for £300 odd pounds, did I want help recovering the money or want the phone delivered. Lady with a very heavy Indian accent, didn't say if she was calling from Amazon or the Bank, but she could help stop the delivery and get my money back if I followed these steps. Call terminated.

Recorded message from Bank Security (didn't specify which bank). 2 suspicious transactions, first for £700something by International transfer.... Gave up at this point and hung up as it's one of many we've had all very similar wording.
Says they were BT but due to a heavy Indian accent I couldn't understand what he was saying. Have had people claiming to be BT contacting me before claiming there was an issue with my computer, why BT would contact me about my computer which has nothing to do with them caused alarm bells to ring. Not sure if this was one of these calls but be wary if answer, don't let them have control of your computer for whatever reason they give.

SCAM - Told them to take a number off the list as the person has a memory dissorder. Have called daily after that, telling it is the first time they call. Different numbers, but same person called back right after from this number. She called from RCN Investments and if that is true, that she called because the person wrote her number at THEIR webpage- then they have sold the number to several other companies, because the phone is calling several times a day after the day she register on a web-page.

It urges you to press 1 to have further details about the case before they issue an arrest warrant. Block number and report. It is so funny how the UK govt allows number spoofing and can not get to know who uses these numbers. It is no brainer that o2 could identify who uses this spoofed numbers. This number has called three two yesterday and one today asking for a person unknown to me.put phone down Was of African nature voice.
Suspicious because the speaker sounded Indian or Asian and wanted to access my computer to ascertain its security. Said they were from TomTom but I felt very uneasy.
