Pretending to be lawyers who say I have a case of tax fraud against me. This was a very entertaining phone call as the man on the other line who went under the name of "Michael Jordan", not the basketball player, told me I must give him money or else I would be arrested in 30 minutes!! Thank you Mr. Jordan for giving me and my flatmate 40 minutes of laughs this morning.

This number has been spoofed so that it appears as the CLI of the caller when it has no relationship to the people originating the call. This number was assigned to a legitimate business in Surrey. They have now changed their number. The spoofing still carries on and people are getting missed call messages with this number on their mobiles and landlines. Girl with friendly UK accident, asking me about a car accident they claimed I had. When I asked how she knew this, she then said Incident at work? . They try and get you to talk about some incident they can help you with, but I don t they have any real data. When I asked again where she got the data from, she hung up.

Missed call from this number which left voicemail, very heavy African accent, female automated voice, sounded a bit garbled. Said someone was "filing a lawsuit against you, press one now to talk to your caseworker" I ve heard of this scam doing the rounds, I ve now blocked this number and registered it with "Should I answer" app as dangerous scam.

Someone claiming to be from BT saying my internet had been compromised. They knew my name and address. When I accused them of being a criminal they replied "Of course I'm not, you idiot". Any doubts I had about their authenticity vanished at that point!

SPAM Said he's from 'the online trading company' and is calling because I have shown interest in online trading - not true. I told him to get lost and hung up, he immediately called again before I blocked the number.
Definitely HSBC fraud department. It s a separate call centre to the central one as I was taken aback at the different "customer handling" of the fraud dept i.e. not as warm as the central team. It s a genuine number, just avoids the queues of the central number you d normally call.
