SCAM Said from Virgin media, wanted access to my computer. Called back twice.

Scam call pretending to be Virgin Media (broadband internet). Standard scam pattern. Voices/accents from Indian subcontinent but claiming western names ("Daniel", "Robert", etc). Presumably using in-country telephone redirection service so as to appear with 0161 prefix. Claimed "We are getting errors from your internet connection." Wanted me to download Anydesk software so they could take remote control of my computer.

Calls & texts about a non-existent Scottish Widows policy that I've never had, and an address that I haven't lived in for 15-years

I asked him how he offers me upgrade without knowing my current plan or even name. He couldn't answer what happened at school and why he couldn't find a better job rather than scamming people. Returned a call to this number and operator said it is not recognised I therefore take it to be a scam call. I am being plagued with loft insulation calls at the moment so could be one of these don’t answer it .

SCAM txt message from this number. Advising me I’ve been in close contact with someone who has recently tested positive. Please order a test kit: with a web address. (Doesn’t even say positive for what) Fools! I attempted to look up the web address on my iPad and it came up as non existent. Presumably they would have tried to make me pay for them.
