Just got a phone call to the landline from an Indian guy calling himself ‘Jason’ purporting to be from Microsoft. He knew my surname but when I told him that I knew that Microsoft NEVER phones he put the phone down. The number is 003726933068. STAY SAFE.

SCAM Saying they are calling from virgin media, about our slow Internet router. They will proceed to ask you to download a software on your pc and then steal any banking details and passwords. We end up having 10 of these calls a day, it's so frustrating. I end up laughing and saying some choice words or going along pretending I'm doing what they are asking. When I say I'm not with virgin media they switch and say they are an it department for all Internet providers. Do not fall for this!!!

I ve been getting calls from this number on and off for a year and two things happen I answer and total silence or they attempt to make me buy a higher priced data pack and when I state that I don t need a higher priced data pack and even if I did I would just change it directly with their app they start getting more aggressive about it. SCAM- CLAIMED TO BE HMRC -THEY SAID THEIR WAS A TAX FRAUD IN MY NAME. i ASKED THEM WHAT MY NAME WAS. SHE (NOT ENGLISH) SAID SHE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE ME THAT I SHOULD GIVE HER MY DETAILS NOW OR SHE WOULD SEND THE POLICE IMMEDIATELY. I TOLD HER i WOULD PUT THE KETTLE ON FOR WHEN THEY ARRIVED! HAD 3 BREWS SINCE THEN! NOT SURE IF JUST ANNOYING OR COULD BE DANGEROUS DIDN'T ALLOW THE CALL TO GET THAT FAR!
