SCAM Upon connection there was an electronic tone like you used to get with Skype. Man with thick accent tried to interest me in a motor accident I recently had and had “forgotten about”. When I said no I hadn’t had one I was immediately disconnected. This is not Aberdeen, it sounds more like India.

Cold-phoned us claiming to be current suppliers of ours, but I'd never heard their name before. Sounded a bit suspect.
I think this might actually be a valid Co-op number. I say that because: 1. I tried to make some credit-card payments while abroad, but they were declined. 2. This number called my mother to check the payments. 3. When my mother confirmed with them that the payment attempts were valid, my card started working again! But I cannot 100% confirm. My mother actually received three calls over the weekend. Sadly this number is not shown on the Co-op website. So it's difficult to verify.

This number called Saturday 4th March early to say they were calling on behalf of amazon they were trying to stop our amazon account being hacked and our credit cards charged. Short story they are scammers trying to release you of your funds. They then continue with mobile phone numbers after this point. Be extremely careful when answering this number.

Believe that this number could be associated with Bank Payment scams. I had an automated call from the bank stating that they has identified to suspicions payments against my account and would I confirm 'yes'; or 'no'. When I confirmed that I knew nothing about them I was put through this number which was answered by a man who gave his name as a Paul Butler and stated that he was a member of the Bank Fraud team. Call was a recorded message saying that I had 2 transactions off £750 off my Credit card this morning if this was not you press 1. I didn't do it but I did check with my accounts and it appears to be a scam. As they didnt say which Credit company either. Plus surely they wouldn't use a mobile phone either. They would use land line to ring from. Plus an email or text.

It says this is Clearanswer, a marketing company and one of BTs partners.....comments from the general public seem to suggest otherwise. A very foreign voice suggested my BT contract was coming to an end. I don’t discuss new contracts with a cold caller. When I said it wasn’t due to be renegotiated she hung up...not the sort of thing a genuine person would do.
