"Asking about my washing machine cover. My washing machine is old and came with the privately rented flat I live in; I have no cover. When I asked how they got my number they hung up. I called back and found out the company is called D&G. This is clearly a scam."

"Claiming to be from D&G/DAG (sounds similar to Domestic & General) re my washing machine insurance cover that has apparently expired. They knew my name and wanted my bank details to set it up again. As soon as I start querying their integrity they hang up. Had 3 calls in as many days. Wondering how they got my details from Domestic & General or if just a coincidence. Have contacted Domestic & General to inform them too."
