a SCAM perpetrated by HMRC? Could not sort Tax code out online and was told to ring another number. Called it and after lengthy process getting into the right Q and waiting 18 minutes was told to ring 08444740101 instead. (charged £12.25 for waiting during that call!). I rang that number and after another 20 minutes listening to Muzak...eventually got someone....30 minutes later for an error HMRC had made I discovered a charge of £17.45. for calling HMRC! I've since discovered that the original error that H
