As with others, been called daily for the last week..answer but phone just goes dead. Do they want us to call back - ie premium/extortionate rate number?? Dont know but wont be calling them!! Time wasters - but no doubt some kind of scam…..

I called the number which then gave an automated message and a contact number to call, 01582267124. I was put through to a customer service rep and asked politely to be removed from their database. He added my number and fingers crossed I won't be bothered again, although I've blocked their number anyway.
SCAM - be extremely careful. 00916509014503 claims to be BT OpenReach and will try to take over your laptop/PC/mobile phone in order to defraud you. Do not give them access to your device.

Received many calls from same number but just the last digit changes. It is an automated message saying that they are HMRC and that a tax fraud claim is made against me, that I should press 1 and talk to a representative otherwise I will be arrested shortly. It is so annoying as to how they get my number, i have had so many unsolicitored calls recently. Who is selling my information, I am so carefull in completing any online applications with my sensitive details?

Called me today to mumble something about life insurance. I said I have it and the caller then mumbled for about a minute and I said - politely - I don’t understand a thing you just said. SCAM -Amy, from Microsoft Corporation (yeah, right!), has been receiving reports that my computer has been hacked, gave me a 32 digit licence number (I thought it should be 25) and wanted to help me check it on the computer. When I refused to turn the computer on, she said that I would have to go to their HQ in Reading in the next 3 days, but when I asked how to contact her she hung up. Strange, that!

Fraud- this number pretends to be from HMRC saying there’s an arrest warrant out for tax evasion. Do not press 1, just hang up and ignore it. HMRC are working with fraud action UK to get to the bottom of this. Share with your relatives especially the elderly who will be frightened by this.
Please don t phone me ever again. If I wanted cheaper gas and electric myself I would investigate it myself. Cold calls effect me so much emotionally and mentally.

SCAM Claimed to be from BT Broadband and told me my internet router was sending error signals to them and that I wasn't getting the speed I should be. They give you a bit of blurb about internet speed and then ask you to turn on your laptop, they ask you to press 'Ctrl + Windows +R' then type: - 'Eventvwr' into the box. They then use screen that comes up to persuade you that you have a problem. Once they have you convinced, which is easily done if you are not tech savvy, the sting.. Your money!!!
