Received a call from this number and listening to the message can understand why people fall for this. The message advises that HMRC wish to speak with you and it may be in your interest to appoint a Solicitor. Then asks that you call back. I called back and an Asian male answered with "This is Her Majesties Revenue Control, how can I help you" I hung up. Similar to other comments - trying to sell better telephone package, to (supposedly) reduce our business cost. They asked for an E-mail address, but I explained that we have not used that for 10-12 years - as we have converted to the much more professional "W-mail" system, which avoids spams and scams. They then immediately ended the call !

Just received a call from them (major call centre background noise) insisting I requested a ring back from them earlier at 9.30 this morn.
