Whoever they were, they couldn t bring themselves to speak to my answering machine. The fact that I am registered with TPS and they shouldn t be calling me in the first place seems to be beside the point. This number called me after I had placed a request for a tradesperson to do some work for me. His accent sounded very artificial as if it wasn’t his normal accent. He may have been genuine but I don’t think he was. It is showing as a number from Russia and I live in the UK. He said he would come this evening to look at the work that need to be done. He would not take any details about where I live but wanted me to text them to him. I have read that 0738 is associated with scam calls so did not text.

She wouldn't disclose the name of the company that supplied my data and gave the usual 'data protection' speech.
