They called saying they work with insurers. I knew it was a scam so played with them a little. I said I was expecting their call and asked if they were from Prudential (who I am NOT insured with by the way) just to test them. The guy said yes eventually and he passed me to his manager. When I asked him about this Prudential association, I think he sussed that I was on to him and he hung up. The worrying thing is that they had my name somehow. They sounded Asian. Number is now blocked of course.

This number should be a landline from Manchester - I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet resources, which should be a good sign... Does someone have some experience with this one? Was trying also different formats of this number, but no luck. Got the same call today, preceded by a text appearing as from 'Ulster Bank'. Automated voice seemed to know my name and surname initial, but this number doesn't seem to belong to UB (fraud team's number is different and this doesn't appear on their website
