Called to offer me a better rate on my mortgage. I don t have a mortgage and they asked if I wanted my details removed, I said yes and was told this could take 1 business day. 23 hours later I received another call, I ve since had a call yesterday and today. Next time they call I m going to get the full company name and complain to the ICO.

SCAM / SPAM This was an English speaking polite male telling me that the Government funded insulation in my loft could be causing damage to my property and he wanted to arrange a visit to examine it. Fortunately before the call went any further he mentioned the "foam insulation" and when I said it was not foam in my loft he rang off. OBVIOUSLY A SCAM. He didn't get round to asking for bank details but I am sure he would have it I hadn't realised what he was up to.
SCAM: Man with Indian accent, saying an Amazon Gift card for 39.99 had been charged to my account, from a postcode in London. Asked how I was today & I strung him along to waste his time & said ’not good’. He had my initial, surname, address & postcode, as well as my phone no. I told him I don’t HAVE an Amazon Account. SCAM. I just activated my number and then 3days later (today) I've received 2seperate calls from them. One was that I'd apparently made enquiries on their WiFi broadband internet. SHE GAVE ME MY OWN FULL NAME AND DATE OF BIRTH!!!! HOW DAMN SCARY IS THAT!!!! I SUGGEST EVERYONE ELSE WHEN U EXPERIENCE THE SAME TO DO THIS ASWELL.
The person knew my name and address BUT the wrong postcode - it was way off! As I said it was the wrong postcode they asked me for mine which I refused to give and told them as they had the wrong information I was not the person they needed.
