Cold called me and said I had asked for a home owner loan - I had not. When challenged there was an excuse ready regarding a re-dial but this did not seem remotely plausible. I suspect it’s a Phishing/Finance scam - please beware!

Pre-recorded female voice (American accent) purporting to be HMRC but number coming up on iPhone as Newquay area. Couldn't clearly hear what was said but usual message engineered to put people under pressure while offering a "Press number 1" type option to be put through to scammers most likely. This is some type of Pakistani scam through a UK, Manchester prefix. Don't pick up, just block the number and report it if possible.
This number has called me 5 times in the last 2 days but never leaves a message which is very annoying being woken up buy them firsy thing in the morning.
