Ws called by someone with a Manchester accident telling me I was involved in an accident in Sept 2014 and the 3rd party had come forward claiming to still be experiencing discomfort from it. There was no accident, when I told him this and asked him what he was playing at he hung up. I have now blocked this number but from all these comments it appears they use several different types of numbers.

This number is not recognised if trying to call back. Which is the sign of a scammer. They have called several times despite being told not to. They have now been reported to TPS , but I doubt anything will be done :(

They verified my details, knew my name and every handset/plan I already had, and after a brief chat, concluded that I didnt need anything. I get these kind of calls 1-2 a year. They are a telesales company likely working with EE. There is a lot of negative comments, but this is the way the capitalist world you live in works. Accept you will get these calls, people trying to sell your something.

Low-life indian man sounded like he was relaxing at home talking to somone he knew when he phones me. Said he was from Sky and I was getting a £202 refund. I told him he was a stupid lying thief. "No I'm not! I'm calling you from Sky to organise a refund!" I told him That I was sorry, that he his a REALLY stupid lying theif! If I had Sky, which I never have, they would already have my details and would have just made a refund if one was due.

Rang my mobile briefly and then stopped. No message left. Probably trying to tempt me into calling them back. An unknown number and unsolicited. I ve recently had calls of this type daily around the same time and they re always from telemarketers or accident claims hawkers, so draw your own conclusions about this one. Rang at half seven this morning (Monday) didn't get to the phone in time and no message left, number also rang half seven last Friday morning. Tried calling this number 01889574559 and the number was unobtainable, number now blocked.
Playing a recorded message saying they are calling on behalf of HMRC and there is a case on your name and if you don't press 1 immediately you will get arrested. Don't answer this number!!!
