Unknown number calling a TPS registered private number. It is one digit different from 01226666737, Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd calling with a driveway scam that has been pestering my home number recently and may be the same. I asked for proof and was assured they had proof, when I said my wife had died years ago they could not progress their payment request, as any debt had ceased. Said they were Virgin Media but obviously were not. They have called repeatedly over the last week.
Scam caller pretended that wi-fi would end in 24 hours unless you pressed 1 to speak an advisor (obviously the scammer). Pressed # instead to upset the computer.
Called me but when I answered immediately had an answering machine that said a letter for me had been returned to them so they would be taking legal action, like an answering machine would go into that much depth. Then I waited for the message to repeat to hear who it claimed to be and instead it hung up. Clearly a scam.
