I rang the number back it’s about PPI saying I had money back in 2019 I told the lady I didn’t receive any money and to remove me from their database She started to raise her voice asking why would they do that when I had received money! I told her I had NOT received any money and to remove me from database. She started to speak I cut her short and said these calls should be removed remove me immediately and hung up. Safe number - Life Insurance broker. Did my insurance a while back. Called me to review a couple of years afterwards hence why I googles the number. They're a ligitamte firm and were excellent with me and the arrangements. Definitely not a scam or dodgy number.

I rang British Gas using the genuine number from their website - they confirmed that no-one's called me today.

SCAM This number called on my land line with a recoded message stating that my internet was to be cut off within the next 24 to 48 hours because of illegal activity. If I needed to speak to an executive manager I instructed to press 1 on my handset. The internet was not cut off nor has been interrupted. This is a scam.

I asked which database and she said "her job was only to offer an extension to my washing machine guarantee". As I have no such thing anyway, it was easy to know it was a scam. A very suspect call. Phone rang and after a few seconds of silence the call terminated. I would never try to phone back in case of the call-back scam which can put you through to a premium number which makes massive charges. This kind of call, even if a genuine cold call, can be very worrying to some people and I abhorr the method.

This is a scam pretending to be an Amazon call centre as they had our email and then changed our Amazon account password, that generated an email to us with an OTD code. The scammer then wanted us to give him that code so they could take over the account. DO NOT GIVE THEM THAT CODE AND HANG UP THE CALL AND BLOCK THE NUMBER
