This guy called to say he s from Windows and my computer is hacked. He gave a licence number & wanted me to get on line to check it was the same as my computer s so he then could stop the hacker rather than having to shut my computer down. He then gave me his number to call back, got very forceful when I didn t and again when I said didn t have time to do it. Told him he was rude and hang up. Microsoft have nothing to do with this.
This number is a company called Natural Essentials. They flog over-priced vitamins and supplements to vulnerable elderly people. They are really persistent. When they come up against call blockers, they instantly re-dial with alternative numbers. Just recently they are even switching to international numbers in an effort to bypass. Associated numbers are 08000148950, 08000148960, 02034567894, 02034535242, 02034535243, 02034535244, 02034535245, 02034535246, 02034535247, 02034535248. Block them all!

Been called alt least twice a day by this number...it s a debt/loan agency...I personally have never had any dealings with this, or any other agency, so have fostered my mobile with the TPS and added the number to my spam application on the phone. This number is apparently a "proxy": I called it back and the caller was NOT in Worthing...? Scotland, apparently..!? Anyway, DONT answer, or indeed EVER call back.... ;-)

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.
