Phoned this afternoon. An automated voice declared that it was a call from "security at your bank", so at least the scammer doesn't even know which bank he is supposed to pretend to be. Allegedly, two probably fraudulent card transactions had been detected, one for £300 to Amazon and one of a transfer abroad of £1,100. A menu of options was read out, at which point I hung up.

Will lovebomb and have a tragic background story. Speaks with an European accent.

Usually get three to four calls per week from same people using different numbers. SPAM - called and left no message! If any call in my opinion is legitimate, a voicemail message should be left giving the recipient a chance to return the communication after careful consideration! Normally if the caller is reluctant to leave voicemail it’s because they are trying to extract info out of you via questionable means without any recourse. If that’s not the case then surly a voicemail with their info would be reasonable would it not ?
