Indian scammer called saying there have been charges of over £1500 on a debit card that I do not have, waisted 50 mins of my time playing along, when I told him I have over £235,000 in a saving account plus another £53,000 in other accounts he gave me this number to call, I said I will call them in a hour as I have a Doctors appointment.
SCAM it was a automated message in a american accent voice that claimed it was from hmrc and it tries to fear you into thinking your in trouble and it wants you to press 1 to contact a officer which more than likely you probably shouldnt do, hang up and block them instead.

Yeah, these idiots keep calling me too. My advice is to play along and waste their time. I spent hours providing them false contact and banking details. They got really angry when they kept asking me to confirm the account number. It feels so good wasting their time when then had full intentions of wasting myne / whilst trying to rob me blind . Since updating to a new contractsim card with 3 this week this number keeps ringing me but silent on the one time I tried to answer the call so have no idea what the purpose is Am also reporting this to 3 to alert them

Checked this number on reverse lookup which suggests that this is a Vodafone number. I then I checked on Vodafone 'is it us calling' which says that this is not a Vodafone number

Nothing to worry about. A fireman offered to install smoke alarms in town the other day & left them at my door as I wasn't in, and just wanted to check that I'd got them okay & if I'd installed them. Really good considering it was free.

Possible scam. Women said she was from Amazon and they'd noticed unusual activity on my Mum's account. Told her to press 1 if she hadn't bought something for £700. Mum was suspicious, rang off, got the number by dialing 1471 then rang it back. Women who answered refused to give her name and said she hadn't called Mum and didn't work for a company.

Claimed to be from Virgin, calling about internet. Got increasingly frustrated with me when I said I didn’t recognise the number and would call Virgin myself. Didn’t believe the guy with Indian accent and I hung up when he wouldn’t go away. Scary as it sounded like a big call centre in the background and it would be easy to get sucked in. Hope everyone hangs up and karma catches up with what I believe are scammers.
