Got a call from 01246 255920 it was the same company UK Finance who keep ringing me on different numbers. They said i am due 10 year bank charges but could not tell me which bank. I just keep them on the line saying i need to write the number down then can't find my glasses etc. It must be 6 times they have called asking me to ring 0913 1240 871 which could cost me around £25 a call as it is a premium number. Of course once i do ring 0913 they can then release my cheque. I must have wasted at least an hour
A foreign gentleman called from this number 01223 691019, claiming to be from Virgin Media. He wanted access to my modem via my smartphone or computer to make updates. When I said that I had neither he started to get a little agitated. Also kept hinting towards a bad phone connection. This was a call to my landline. I don't know if this is a scam or not, but is very likely as Virgin probably wouldn't access your home internet via a 3rd party mobile phone company.

Just received a call from an Indian sounding chap called Charles . Asked me to confirm if I was receiving a high volume of telemarketing calls, and that he could help. Gave me the 0845 number, and told me to call for a box to plug in to the phone for ?1 something per month. I asked him to hold on for a moment, muted the call, put it on speaker and just left the phone on the desk while I carried on with my work. This is probably SCAM/SPAM. I didn't understand what the caller was saying (with a far eastern accent), something about computers. When I told here I did not want to talk to her and hung up, she rang me back twice more, asking why. When I shouted down the phone "Get off my phone, I don't want to speak to you", I received not more calls..........yet.

BUPA, after I've filled an online form for a quote. Not a scam, but they made me fill an exact same form on the phone, without giving all details I could find on the website. What was the point, I don't know.

Steve Star from some company offering legal advice and help. Asked if I d had an accident in the last 2.5 years or if someone in the family had. I asked him for the source of the information on me. He asked me what I meant? I said that if he was saying I had an accident , he must have some information on me and in that case, I had a right to know the source. He said " we help people , that s what we do" then he hung up - very helpful!!

this number 01204 311057 is a company promoting free government grant for sola power system.
Recieved a text called number on the back of my card and verified it was a genuine HSBC number they confirmed and reassured me and they stated that I was wise to check. Good on HSBC they had noted 3 bogus transactions.
