SCAM Second call in as many minutes all from Blackburn area telephone numbers. SCAM - automated call saying I was under investigation by HMRC and there was a warrant for my arrest for non payment of taxes. Wanted me to press 1, which I didn't - can't be 100% sure but I expect they were after personal/bank details, in any case it's not a legitimate call.

My number is not listed and they called my land line AND mobile! Apparently they sent me a letter, but wanted me to confirm my address. I never got anything and had never heard of them before! I told them on both occassions - they called withing 5 minutes on both lines - to take me complete details off their list and stop harrassing me or I would call the authoroties. On my question what it was about why they called they didn t answer. SCAM! They had my name.

Don t call them! It s a total rip off - they try to make the call as long as possible, leave you hanging for minutes on end only to charge you ?3.00 for a two minute call! - And the "best" thing is: they don t even tell you about how much it will cost in advance!

After confirming I had been "exclusively" chosen to join their lottery syndicate, of which I politely declined, the caller commented on how nice I sounded on the phone, and could he personally keep in touch! Creepy!!
This call was a follow-up call from the Met Police after I reported a theft via their 101 non-emergency number. They repeated to me details from my 101 call, so I have no doubt it was the police. I imagine its unknown etc as it comes through their switchboard, I get the same when the wife rings me from work phone.
