big big scam, been reported many times being investigated in overseas country, u k police cooperating to target premises, employees to be followed and investigated

Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?

When I told her this was untrue and she shouldn t be looking at my financial information, she shouted "shut up. shut up!" down the phone and hung up. I d say that was pretty dodgy wouldn t you?

Rang twice so far. Foreign difficult to understand- had my name as well as phone number. Put phone down.

NO IDEA WHO CALLED RANG BACK No DOES NOT EXIST????

Called as it s a local number to me (Amesbury) I picked up as could have been a trustworthy number. No sound after repeatedly answering "Hello??" after 10 secs heard garbled nonsense and the line went dead. Tried calling back had 20 secs of silence and no ring tone.
