I too get daily calls from this and similar numbers, block them on my phone but they soon use a different number. Now just ignore all calls with that prefix

These numbers are provided by "reputable"service providers and are used (mostly) by independent marketeers on commission from large companies (e.g. BT, Sky, British Gas, etc.) to push products. I do NOT understand why TPS, ICO, or anyone else seems to give a proverbial **** about the nuisance these people are when you have taken every precaution to avoid them.

Just received a call from this number on my home phone. The man had annindian accent and said his name was Paul Simon and that the call was regarding a car accident! He said I could get 5k! I suppose he wanted my bank details?

This is a third party marketing company who call on behalf of ALL mobile providers (T-mobile, Orange, Vodafone, O2 etc) In my case it was T-mobile and I phoned 150 from my mobile and requested my PAC number from their retentions department, intimating that I was leaving them. A debt collection company who collect debts on behalf of eBay. My fees have been paid once then I got an email saying it d been withdrawn and I still owed fees to the sum of £25.
