A man called saying he was calling on behalf of O2, saying under O2 I was eligible for a reduced business contract. When I challenged him that he was not calling from O2 he then said he was calling from a company called YourMobile.com which 'works with an O2 platinum business partner' (Plan.com). I said he should know my contract with O2 if he was phoning on behalf of any area of O2 and then he hung up. This is a scam

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. SCAM Fraud Automated voice call claiming I had 2 suspicious charges on my Visa card and to press "1" to speak to an agent. Hung up immediately.
SCAM called with an automated message saying that it's from the tax office and I owe tax and to prevent going to jail that I needed to press 1 to answer them. I haven't worked in over 20years so I don't pay tax so not even the smallest possibility that I would owe any. Also the tax office would never contact you by phone. Just and scam to steal money. Why don't they get a proper job.

They claimed to be from my bank (VM money was Yorkshre Bank) to ask me about potential fraud on my card. (£52 on Argos in Aberdeen) I was supicious when they got agressive when I didn't know my banking paswword and I said I would have to call them back. I called the fraud number I have in my phone (0800 121 4251) and they confirmed it wasn't them that called me before. The chap on the actual fraud line also said that the real bank won't ask for any part of or all your internet banking password EVER!
