Seemed like a scam to me. Automatic message said there were suspicious charges againt my bank account and invited me to press 1 to cancel these charges. Banks don't work like that.
Scammers. Do not answer and if you do, hang up. Pretending to be HMRC taking "legal action" against you.

This is the fourth time this week calls from 01223 reputed to be Cambridge? saying my bank account has been attacked etc when pressed 2 to talk to the operator a female Asian voice answered....I asked are you in Nagapur India, the line went dead? It's obvious they have a way to get into our phone system. Another one they use is Liverpool 01514.

0208 numbers are usually a scam I never answer them - if they are not they leave a message - this one didn’t

Call from Amazon. Told to go online and check emails because somebody was taking £700 from my account. I said no and rang off. Called again wanting to know why I rang off and to get on the computer. I said no again but wouldn't take no for an answer I asked why not using Amazon number it was because it was a security number. Told unless I did as asked, payment would go ahead. SCAM - I have had at least thirty calls from this number, all with the same female voice wanting to discuss my “home appliance cover”. I always hang up the phone straight away. These are not legitimate calls.
Missed call four times one after the other. Did not leave a voicemail.

They called me at the same time as I was expecting a very important call from my company, it looked like they knew I was waiting for something important and I was approached by them. Now I'm afraid I'll get a high phone bill. Watch out for them.
