They're pretending to be iD Mobile but they're not, god knows how they're finding what mobile service we're with to try and make the text message look genuine. Appears to be a phishing call. I answered and an automated voice just said "goodbye" and the call ended. This typically is an attempt to have you call the number back for any number of reasons, typically non of which are good.
Unsolicited call received on my mobile this morning at 11.20. Heavily accented caller wanted to sell me the latest iPhone. I told him I wasn't interested and hung up.
Said he was from EE - offering me a 30% discount on my phone bill for being such a good customer- I just had to provide them with confirmation of my details (That old chestnut!). I'm not even with EE. Scam!

SCAM - when I answered the number, it quickly turned to music as if waiting in a queue (similar to waiting to talk to your drs). So I rang it back and it said “sorry this number doesn’t exist”! I had been called by 0161 818 4494 and by 0161 818 4493 it was same for both they do not exist. So I took the last number off changing it to 0161 818 449 when I rang it said the same, it doesn’t exist! I think this is a number used by a company who cold call trying to sell you something, that’s my thought on this.
