I pressed 1 and a lady with an Indian accent answered saying she was HMRC and "how can I help you?" I explained that I had just answered the phone to this number saying I was being investigated and she asked for my name. Phoned to tell me that I would receive documents in the post in the next two days for my PPI claim. (Oh!) Then asked if I had taken out any credit cards or loans. I responded with "you phoned me and told me you are sending documents, so tell me which loan" to which I was thanked for wasting her time.

They would not give any information out over the matter or even give me my own door number or year of birth - my check to see if it is a cold call. I gave her a mouth full hopefully ruining her day - great stress relief people :)

01367156170 rang at 9:39 automated Amazon Prime stating my account was due for renewal and that a sum of £39.99 would be deducted from my account. This is a spam call as I do not have an Amazon Prime account. They previously telephoned me this morning on 07322440871 at 8:32am so they are persistent, I have blocked the number now.

Phone rings, 2 seconds of sounds of a busy call centre, then a rather posh Indian says "Mr.M#####k?" I say "Yes" He continues, "My name is (bogus Indian name) this is the call blocking service..." and I hung up. I don't know why I bother answering the phone nowadays, 99% of the time it is a scam.
