This is a number used by people dealing in so-called trading not recognised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). They use false advertising incl. British celebrities to steal thousands of pounds from UK citizens. They are scammers to put it mildly and not to be trusted!!!

I'm more and more convinced it is a scam. I was called this morning, by an automated voice, that there is a proceeding against me because I didn't pay my taxes, and if I want to avoid further consequences (including jail!), I should press 1. Pulled over, pressed 1, a female voice greeted me and asked for personal data. I didn't give any, and asked if there is a number I can call them back on. She said she would call me back later instead. Once home, checekd with HMRC, no issues with my status or taxes.

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. This number seems to be from Dagastan in Russia. As I don't know anyone in Russia I would suggest it is a scam caller. Fortunately I got it as a missed call.

Fraud Pretending to be from Sky technical department and that my router was giving me problems.. it was sometimes fast and sometimes slow, (aren’t they all ?) anyway, I told him I didn’t have a router, so he asked if I had a cell phone, I told him no, then the call ended.. probably trying to find someone else with a dodgy router. !

Fraud - Indian call centre claiming to be from O2 but hiding behind a UK number as you are more likely to answer it. Offered savings off my bill and free upgrade wanted my details to check and the one time pass code that O2 were going to send me. Its a massive fraud once they have your account info they will go on a spending spree using your details but changing the delivery address. Just hang up or do not answer.
